| S6 Replacement Compressors - Automotive Applications |

One of the most recognized pioneers in automotive air-conditioning, Frigidaire, began manufacturing the A6 Compressor in 1962. The original A6 was an axial ( Swash Plate ) designed compressor with a steel case, cast iron cylinders, aluminum pistons with steel piston rings, front and rear steel heads. The weight of the compressor with clutch was about 38 pounds. With a 207 cc displacement this compressor could develop up to 42,000 BTU’s at 4,000 RPM’s.
